I grew up in rural Transylvania and moved to France to pursue an academic career. After earning a PhD in science, life brought me to Paris. It’s the City of Lights that awakened the artist in me. Because everywhere you go in Paris, you just want to take photos. In 2013 I founded The Paris Photographer, with the purpose of creating unforgettable souvenirs to wonderful people that visited the city and wanted more than just professional photos. Something that they could proudly frame and display in their home. Fast forward to 2018, my time is split between photographing happy couples in Paris, New York and California and teaching aspiring photographers from around the world how to become successful.
For over 10 years, there is a girl who brightens my days. She keeps me motivated, centered and grateful. Since August 2017, I have the honor of calling her my wife. Our relationship evolved one additional steps and since March 2019 we are a family, with Vivienne who is always smiling for daddy’s pictures. I love Paris, especially in the spring, when the city comes to life. When I’m not photographing in Paris, we travel around the world. Some of our favorite destinations are Thailand, the Philippines, California, Tuscany, Greece and the Caribbeans. Our next to visit list has many exotic destinations, such as Saint Lucia, Maldives and South Africa. It would be so much fun to shoot in any of these places.
My life used to feel without a purpose
until I discovered photography.
However, I only started feeling happy, when I met my true love.
It’s not a coincidence that many of the great artists lived in Paris. Picasso, Dali, Hemmingway, Coco Chanel or Karl Lagerfeld to name a few. Paris offers an opportunity to nurture your artistic vision.
I tasted sugar can juice in Brazil and enjoyed Coca-Cola in Maddison Square Garden at a Knicks game. Still, le petit café noissette in a Parisian café is what makes me feel truly alive.
